It is easier to push a lighter box than heavier one, because friction depends on the force pressing the two surfaces together. The heavy box will exert more force as in comparison to the lighter box. So, the friction will be more in the case of the heavy box. Hence, the lighter box can be easily pushed as in comparison to the heavy box on the same floor.
